Who We Are

Treasure Coast Medical Associates incorporated in 2002 to provide emergency room staffing at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee County. In 2004, TCMAi opened a free standing urgent care & family practice clinic in Stuart, Florida. These original TCMAi programs remain profitable and viable to this day. In 2015 a second urgent care clinic was opened in Okeechobee, Fl. Through networking opportunities with local municipalities, TCMAi’s interest in employee health clinics became a natural progression with already proven results.

The owner of TCMAi, J. Michael Adelberg, MD, President/FAEP, is a board-certified emergency physician with 30 years of emergency department experience. He resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He has owned and operated TCMAi, which includes Stuart Urgent Care, for over ten years. This clinic is one of a few nationally certified urgent care facilities operating on the Treasure Coast. Dr. Adelberg is also the Medical Director for Okeechobee County Fire Rescue, Okeechobee City Fire Department, and the All County Medical Ambulance Service. Prior to this, Dr. Adelberg practiced emergency medicine and occupational medicine in the city of Milwaukee from 1993 to 2010 for the Wheaton Health System at St. Joseph hospital and St. Francis Hospital. He also provided the emergency physician services for Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL for nine years and was ED medical director for fourteen years.

TCMAi’s Values

To reduce the cost of providing employee health care benefits to its clients’ administration and the tax payers they serve while improving the overall wellness and well-being of its clients’ employees.

Our goal is to provide high quality, cost-effective care to every patient and client that we serve. We negotiate very favorable cash pricing for specialty services with local providers so we can pass those savings on to our patients and clients. The emergency medicine backgrounds of most of our providers allows us to curtail many emergency room visits, saving them and their insurers considerable costs. Whenever appropriate, we switch patients to inexpensive generic medications to further save money. TCMAi is both HIPAA and CLIA compliant.

TCMAi focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions of all ages, while emphasizing preventative medicine and the overall health and wellness of its patients. The clinic uses appropriate equipment and trained staff to optimize patient care. TCMAi understands that there are many factors that can affect health, including exercise, diet, environment, and heredity. TCMAi provides the most comprehensive medical care possible in order to optimize the care and well-being of each patient. TCMAi will refer patients, when appropriate, to specialists (inside of MPS’s insurance network) and/or to hospitals for tests and treatments.

We focus on forming and retaining a core group of well-trained and motivated providers who are able to lower healthcare and work loss costs immediately and over the long term.
